An Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC), Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP), or Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner (AAP) program wishing to seek accreditation will follow the steps below.

STEP 1

Submit an Eligibility Application. If the Eligibility Application is approved, the program advances to Candidate for Accreditation status and is authorized to seek initial accreditation.

STEP 2

Participate in an accreditation orientation workshop with the AAC Executive Director or designate by phone or virtual meeting.

STEP 3

Complete a Self-Study Report for Accreditation that meets AAC’s requirements regarding content and format.

STEP 4

Host a virtual accreditation site visit and submit a formal response to the site visit report with any required documentation; and

STEP 5

Attend a Commission accreditation hearing during which the program has an opportunity to address the AAC board of directors, and the AAC board has an opportunity to ask questions of the program.

STEP 6

Receive a decision from the Commission regarding initial accreditation.
