AAC

Ayurveda is reaching hundreds of thousands of people searching for a better path for a healthy life, and its reach is growing every day. With this growing interest and increased demand, the work of AAC is critical to the advancement of Ayurvedic medicine in the USA.

Message from Dr Lisa Cavallaro, Executive Director

Season's Greetings from AAC! As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the remarkable journey we've shared in 2023. We are incredibly grateful to the dozens of supporters who participated in our recent fundraising drive (and it’s not too late to donate today!). We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated community of practitioners, supporters, and partners who have contributed to our mission of serving the public by accrediting programs in Ayurvedic medicine that voluntarily seek recognition and that demonstrate they meet or exceed AAC’s standards.

As we look forward to the coming year, we are eager to strengthen our collaborations with the wider Ayurvedic community, expand our outreach, and build relationships with state and local Ayurveda organizations. We will continue to work tirelessly to advance the profession of Ayurvedic medicine for the benefit and well-being of all.

May this season bring you joy, wellness, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Warmest wishes,

Lisa Cavallaro, Executive Director

Accredited Programs

As of November 30, the AAC has 11 schools with a total of 21 programs in Candidacy for Accreditation. We anticipate more programs to enter candidacy in early 2024. This is truly remarkable and speaks to the level of commitment these programs have made to their students and the future of Ayurvedic medicine in the US.

Webinar Series for Programs in Candidacy

Our six-month webinar series was created to assist candidate programs in developing their self-study reports as part of the accreditation process. The recordings of these sessions, along with supporting documentation, are available to candidate programs on the dedicated resource page on our website. These presentations included time for open discussion and Q+A with participants and AAC’s Executive Director, Dr. Lisa Cavallaro.

Future webinars, events, and programs will be announced in early 2024. We look forward to seeing you in the new year!
